a gift so great

You'll have to pardon me for steering away from my normal subject matter.  This week, I'm posting a few shots that are not my own.  Well, they aren't my photographs, but they are the first pictures of our baby girl.  And, to me, they are the most perfect photos ever taken.

It's an indescribable feeling, seeing your child for the first time.  I am honored to be her mother, proud of her amazing growth, and so excited to see this little person when she is born in a few months.

Last night, as I slept, images of this little one flooded my dreams.  I'll leave you with these words, which were on my mind as I awoke:

"Let me pray to keep you from

The perils that will surely come

See life for you, my prince(ss), has just begun

And I thank you for choosing me

To come through unto life to be

A beautiful reflection of God's grace

See I know that a gift so great 

Is only one God could create
